Mgr. Simona Šafaříková, Ph.D.

Simona Šafaříková works as assistant professor at the Department of Development and Environmental Studies, Faculty of Science, Palacky University. She participates in many international projects mainly within ERASMUS+ scheme (GLODEP, GloKnoCo, etc.). Her work is focused on the development opportunities in different Asian regions and she also teaches qualitative research. She is very interested in the role of sport in development and its impacts. Her research experience from the field of sport and development is connected to projects in the Czech Republic, Uganda, and Latin America. She is also active in global education and volunteer’s trainings. She supports the use of qualitative research methods and participation in evaluations. She is a member of the CES, Czech Kinanthropological Society and actively participates in the Advisory Board of International Sociology of Sport Association.
