Mgr. Martin Nekola, Ph.D.

Martin Nekola, PhD. has been a research fellow at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague since 2001. He holds a PhD. in Public and Social Policy and has experience of 20 years in social science research in general and policy research in particular. His main research interests include policy analysis/work in public administration, public policy design, policy evaluation and drug policy. He has been involved in numerous research and policy analysis projects, including international ones. He was a principal investigator and co-investigator in several domestic and international research projects (see list of recent projects below). He teaches master courses on policy analysis, evaluation, and drug policy at the Department of Public and Social Policy at the Faculty of Social Sciences. He serves as a vice-dean for computerization since 2022 at the same faculty. He is a member of Czech Evaluation Society (member of CES Governing Board of Directors in years 2018–2019). In 2017, he founded the evaluuj.cz project, which offers a space for inspiration, sharing of evaluation practice and development of evaluation culture in the Czech Republic.
