Mgr. Martin Bastl, Ph.D.
From 2001 to 2015, he worked as a lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University (FSS MU). He is the author of a number of publications, a member of professional societies and was a member of the editorial boards of the professional journals Rexter (for research on radicalism, extremism and terrorism) and Central European Political Studies. He has been involved in the issues of political radicalism and cybersecurity for a long time. At the FSS MU, he co-founded the Security and Strategic Studies department, where he focused on strategic theory, technological threats and analytical methods. He has been working in the state administration since 2016. First, he participated in the evaluation of Operational Program Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Competitiveness projects at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. During this time, when he gained direct experience with the implementation of the operational program, he became interested in the issue of evaluations. In 2017, he transferred to the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic, where he collaborates on the evaluations of the Integrated Regional Operational Program.
